Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

Can there be anything better on a cold snowy day?!

I’m a little “under the weather” and this Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate made for me by my sweet younger brother just hits the spot.

Rich, creamy and darker than my photo…well, it’s just delicious and you’ll have to try it for yourself!  🙂

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
5 ounces milk chocolate, chopped (about 1 cup)
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Warm milk and cream in a medium
saucepan over a medium-low heat.

Add chocolate, and whisk until melted and combined.

Continue to warm mixture until thick, about 5 minutes. Whisk in
peanut butter until smooth.

Pour into mugs and enjoy!

An Unbelievably Snowy Morning!

Whiteout conditions!  😀

Our rain turned to snow early this morning.  It was coming down on my way to work and didn’t stop for the next 4 hours!   We just don’t see snow like this a lot, so it was exciting!  😀

My boss tried to make it to the post office and had to turn around.  She was so “spooked” after sliding around on our roads, she decided to  close the office and go home while she could.  It was only 9:30.

I did a little sliding myself on the way home and was glad when I finally pulled into the drive.

A friend of mine drives a school bus and they finally dismissed schools around 11:30.  Her students took some of these pics on the way home.

This pic shows a cross which is lit at night.    It sits high on a hillside and shines as a welcoming beacon at night.  Returning from a trip as a child, I would see this cross and know that home was near.

Now our roads are almost clear!  My Handyman and my oldest have gone sledding with instructions to stop by the store on the way home to pick up the ingredients for more snow cream.

Isn’t this a gorgeous picture?!

It’s Snowing…again.

Wow!  I can’t remember the last time we had 2 snows

just within days of each other.

My hubby and girls are out walking in it right now.

It’s just too cold for me.

I read where it’s supposed to be windy and

cold tomorrow.

Yuck.  I dread it, but I’m trying to enjoy

the snow while it’s here.

Then bring on the SPRING!

Sledding down the hill is so much fun!

But, I’m ready for this

WARM weather, SUN, and WATER!

It’s Snowing!!!!!

Boy, oh boy, is it ever!  We have about 5″ and are expecting more tonight.

Work even closed early, which is very unusual.  The banks closed at noon.  But that didn’t stop people from getting out.

We went sledding at 7:00 pm!  Then came home to a big crock pot of Homemade Chili to warm our cold and weary bodies.

If it’s snowing where you are, have fun, stay warm and be careful!
